Kamal Bawa, a famous, Indian born, conservation biologist and president of the Bengaluru-based Ashoka Belief for Analysis and Ecology and Surroundings (ATREE), was elected to the US Nationwide Academy of Sciences, ATREE stated.
The election to the 170-year-old Academy is a recognition of his important contributions to science by its members. Bawa, who can be an elected fellow of the Royal Society (London) and the American Philosophical Society, was elected to the US Nationwide Academy of Sciences late final night time India time.
