Singapore’s labor scarcity issues are easing as unemployment continues to fall near pre-pandemic ranges, mentioned Minister of Manpower Tan See Leng.

“For native unemployment, we are literally in a reasonably good state. The unemployment has dropped. I feel we’re near pre-Covid ranges,” he informed CNBC’s “Squawk Field Asia” on Thursday.

“We’re seeing the long-term unemployment, which is outlined as anybody who’s unemployed for greater than six months, has dropped to about 0.8%. Pre-pandemic ranges [were] about 0.7%. So we’re really fairly near what it was earlier than Covid,” Tan added.
