Eire-based leasing firm Awas Eire Ltd has requested the Indian aviation watchdog DGCA to deregister three plane it had leased to SpiceJet, over unpaid dues. At present two of those plane are parked at Varanasi airport and one in Amristar airport. The registration numbers of the plane are VT-SYW, VT-SYY and VT-SYX.
The three plane had been beforehand owned by Jet Airways. In 2019, submit its grounding, these plane had been leased by SpiceJet.
This comes even because the DGCA had requested SpiceJet to function 50 per cent of its flight capability over technical snags present in spot checks earlier this week.
“For continued sustenance of protected and dependable air transport service, the variety of departures of Spicejet are hereby restricted to 50 per cent of the variety of departures authorised underneath the Summer time Schedule 2022 for a interval of eight weeks from the date of situation of this order, in accordance with powers conferred underneath rule 19A of the Plane Guidelines, 1937,” a letter by DGCA mentioned.
It had defined that on various events, the plane both turned again to its originating station or continued touchdown to the vacation spot with degraded security margins.
A SpiceJet assertion mentioned there can be no influence on operations. “Because of the present lean journey season, SpiceJet like different airways had already rescheduled its flight operations. Therefore, there can be completely no influence on our flight operations. We wish to reassure our passengers and journey companions that our flights will function as per schedule within the coming days and weeks. There can be no flight cancellation as a consequence of this order,” the assertion mentioned
“DGCA’s remark that SpiceJet is taking measures for arresting the pattern of incidents could be very encouraging and we are going to proceed to work underneath the shut steerage of the regulator,” it added.
