The bench stated that OROP dues for 10-11 lakh remaining pensioners shall be paid in three installments by February 28 subsequent 12 months. The apex courtroom stated the fee of dues “won’t have an effect on additional equalisation of pension of ex-servicemen to be achieved in 2024.” It additionally condemned the Centre for “unilaterally” deciding to pay the OROP dues in 4 installments.
