A bench of Justices KM Joseph and BV Nagarathna was instructed by senior advocate Kapil Sibal and advocate Nizam Pasha that the trailer of the film, which is scheduled to be launched on Friday (Could 5), has garnered 16 million views, information company PTI reported.

This film is the worst form of hate speech, Pasha stated, including “it’s a fully audio-visual propaganda”.

This comes as The Kerala Story has been underneath the scanner for claiming that 32,000 women from the state went lacking and later joined the terrorist group, Islamic State of Iraq and Syria (ISIS). 

The movie has invited criticism with the Kerala’s ruling CPI(M) and the opposition Congress social gathering alleging that it’s a propaganda film selling pretend narrative and agenda of right-wing organisations.

“There are types of hate speeches. This movie has bought certification and has been cleared by the board. It is not like an individual getting on the rostrum and begins giving uncontrolled speech. If you wish to problem the discharge of the film, you must problem the certification and thru applicable discussion board,” the bench stated.

Justice Nagarathna stated the petitioner ought to first method the Excessive Courtroom. Nevertheless, Pasha talked about that there was no time left because the film is scheduled to launch on Friday.

Pasha acknowledged that’s the reason he has filed an intervention utility within the hate speech matter. Justice Joseph stated although he might not be advising the petitioner, however for looking for applicable treatment, a considerable writ petition must be filed.

It’s to be famous that the movie has been granted an ‘A’ certificates with 10 cuts by the Central Board of Movie Certification (CBFC).
