Lloyds Banking Group introduced it might shut its department on Grover Stroll, Corringham on 21 August, leaving the East Thurrock space and not using a financial institution.

The group had beforehand introduced the closure of 18 Halifax websites and 22 Lloyds websites throughout the nation between April and June.
In accordance with Lloyds, transactions on the Corringham department fell by 64% between 2017 and 2022.
