The Nationwide Investigation Company (NIA) sleuths on Wednesday performed raids at a number of places in Dakshina Kannada. About 16 locations belonging to the activists of the banned outfit Common Entrance of India (PFI) have been raided early on Wednesday.

Homes, workplaces and hospitals linked to the activists of the banned Common Entrance of India (PFI) have been searched concurrently in Mangaluru in addition to Puttur, Beltangady, Uppinangady, Venur and Bantwal, in keeping with a PTI report.

The raids are a part of a probe into the plot of the banned organisation to assault PM Modi on July 12, 2022 at a rally in Bihar.

Final 12 months, the Enforcement Directorate (ED), in its remand notice towards PFI member Shafeeque Payeth, had mentioned that the PFI had conspired to focus on PM Modi throughout his go to to Patna on July 12, 2022.

Moreover, the ED claimed that the PFI was getting ready terror modules and different assaults.

Based on NIA sources, officers are conducting doc verification at 16 locations with the assistance of native police. PFI allegedly acquired cash from gulf international locations to plot terror actions in India.
