Udyam Portal Highlights Significant Role of Women-Owned MSMEs

As per the Udyam Registration Portal (URP) of the Ministry of MSME, women-owned MSMEs represent 20.5% of the whole variety of MSMEs registered on the Portal since its inception in 1st July 2020.  These women-owned MSMEs’ contribution to the employment generated by the whole Udyam registered items is eighteen.73%, involving 11.15% of the whole funding. The Ministry of MSME has taken a variety of steps to help women-owned MSMEs :

  2. The Ministry additionally implements Prime Minister’s Employment Era Programme (PMEGP), which is a serious credit-linked subsidy programme geared toward producing self-employment alternatives by means of institution of micro enterprises within the non-farm sector.   5. MSME Sustainable Zero Defect Zero Impact (ZED) Certification Scheme is an initiative to supply a roadmap to world competitiveness for Indian MSMEs having financial and social impacts when it comes to capability constructing of MSMEs.
