Carl Icahn is increasing his animal-welfare marketing campaign to the nation’s largest grocery store chain, Kroger, after the famed activist investor initially focused McDonald’s.

Icahn has submitted a plan to appoint two candidates to Kroger’s board, the Cincinnati-based firm stated in a launch Tuesday.

Kroger stated it first heard from Icahn on Friday. The grocery store stated that through the dialogue, the billionaire investor “voiced his issues relating to animal welfare and the usage of gestation crates in pork manufacturing.”

In a letter to Kroger CEO Rodney McMullen, Icahn additionally took goal at what he known as the “egregious wage gaps” between McMullen and different staff on the firm.
