The BSE Sensex rose 500 factors to 53,300 and the NSE Nifty50 was above 15,900, up 150 factors. Reliance, ICICI Financial institution, HDFC twins and SBI have been main the upmove.
Sectorally, Metals, Auto, Realty, Power and PSBs gained essentially the most on Nifty, up 1-2 per cent. On the flip aspect, Pharma, FMCG and IT pockets have been weak.
