Twitter verified a Washington Publish columnist’s faux US Senator Ed Markey account, after Elon Musk mentioned “all verified accounts might be manually authenticated”  —  Elon Musk mentioned Twitter would start authenticating customers who pay $8 for Blue.  Our tech columnist was nonetheless in a position to get a checkmark for an impostor Sen. Ed Markey.
