India and the US have determined to reschedule the proposed assembly of their chief negotiators in Washington to finalise the textual content of the interim commerce pact, sources stated on Sunday.

The Indian workforce was scheduled to begin the three-day assembly on February 23.

“Close to the go to of the Indian workforce of negotiators to the US for the India-US Commerce Deal, the 2 sides are of the view that the proposed go to of the Indian Chief Negotiator and the workforce be scheduled after either side has had the time to guage the newest developments and their implications. The assembly will likely be rescheduled at a mutually handy date,” a supply stated.

The event is essential following the US Supreme Courtroom verdict towards the sooner sweeping tariffs of the Trump administration. Trump on Friday imposed 10 per cent tariffs on all nations, together with India, from February 24 for 150 days. On Saturday, he introduced to hike the obligation to fifteen per cent.
