Seadrill (SDRL) mentioned Monday it was awarded a 1,095-day contract extension for its West Polaris ultra-deepwater drillship with Petrobras (PBR) for work on the Buzios discipline offshore Brazil.
Seadrill (SDRL) mentioned the rig will earn $409,200/day from April 2026 by way of March 2027, rising to $454,700/day from April 2027 till mid-January 2028.
“This award enhances Seadrill’s earnings visibility for a mature asset into the subsequent decade,” the corporate’s President and CEO Samir Ali mentioned.
