The crash occurred in a residential neighborhood in Katy, Texas, final Friday, with the Harris County Sheriff’s Workplace telling ABC Information that the Mannequin 3 driver was utilizing the car “with an automatic driving help system.” Nonetheless, Elluswamy writes on X that the driving force, who has been recognized as Michael Butler, “reached a velocity of 73 mph throughout the crash, and had the accelerator pressed even after the crash.”

Regardless of Tesla disbanding its public relations crew years in the past, Elluswamy expressed frustration with the media’s protection of the crash and FSD, saying it vegetation “FUD [fear, uncertainty, and doubt] within the minds of most of the people.” Tesla CEO Elon Musk equally dismissed a hyperlink to the corporate’s self-driving tech, saying, “FSD drives slowly via neighborhood streets and this was a excessive velocity crash!”
