Mumbai, Maharashtra, India – 24 June 2026 – MediKno, an Indian startup pioneering artificial intelligence solutions for dermatology, today announced that it has successfully raised pre-seed funding from build3 (Birudo3 Private Limited). This investment marks a significant milestone in the startup’s journey to transform dermatology through AI-powered clinical intelligence and workflow automation.

The funding will be utilized to strengthen MediKno’s AI capabilities, leveraging advanced AI models trained and optimized on AIRAWAT, India’s sovereign Large Language Model initiative. This will enable the company to accelerate product development, enhance its intelligent dermatology solutions, and expand clinical deployments. Additionally, the funding will be used to scale partnerships with dermatologists and healthcare providers, promoting the adoption of AI-driven innovation in healthcare.

MediKno has achieved significant traction since its inception, including developing technology built on India’s sovereign AI infrastructure. This strategically aligns with Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision of Digital India and Make in India, supports the objectives of the Ayushman Bharat Digital Mission (ABDM), and champions the adoption of ABHA-enabled digital healthcare ecosystems. The company has built a strong foundation for launching globally competitive technology from India.

“This investment is an important validation of our vision to build intelligent technology that empowers clinicians and improves patient outcomes. The support, mentorship, and guidance we have received from build3 have played a significant role in shaping our growth journey. Their belief in our mission has helped us evolve from an idea into a solution that has the potential to transform dermatology. We are excited to continue building cutting-edge innovation from India for the world.” — Karuna Lakhani, Co-Founder and CTO of MediKno

“I am thrilled to see MediKno’s progress and the impact it can have on the dermatology landscape. Our goal is to make high-quality dermatology care accessible to everyone, and this funding will help us take a significant step towards achieving that goal. I am grateful to build3 for their support and belief in our mission.” — Sadanand Kawana, Co-Founder and CEO of MediKno

“MediKno represents the kind of founder-led innovation that can create meaningful impact at scale. Karuna and Sadanand have demonstrated a strong vision, technical expertise, and deep commitment to solving real-world challenges. We are proud to support their journey as they build the future of AI-powered dermatology.” — Pranav Khanna, Spokesperson for build3
