Union Ministers mentioned methods to deepen India-Singapore financial cooperation throughout superior manufacturing, fintech, digitalisation, healthcare and sustainability through the fourth India-Singapore Ministerial Roundtable (ISMR).

Union Minister of Commerce and Trade Piyush Goyal stated in a social media publish that he joined Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman, Exterior Affairs Minister S Jaishankar and Minister of State for Electronics and Data Expertise Jitin Prasada in partaking with their Singaporean counterparts on the ministerial roundtable.

“It was a pleasure to hitch my colleagues, Finance Minister @NSitharamanji, Exterior Affairs Minister @DrSJaishankarji, and MoS @JitinPrasadaji, in partaking with our Singaporean counterparts on the 4th India-Singapore Ministerial Roundtable,” the Commerce Minister stated.

Give attention to strategic partnership

He stated the discussions centered on deepening the Complete Strategic Partnership (CSP) between India and Singapore throughout key areas.

“We mentioned deepening the Complete Strategic Partnership (CSP) throughout superior manufacturing, fintech, digitalisation, healthcare, and sustainability,” he stated.

The delegation of the ministers is collaborating within the fourth India-Singapore Ministerial Roundtable and the fourth India-Singapore Enterprise Roundtable (ISBR), with the conferences aimed toward additional strengthening bilateral commerce, funding and financial cooperation between the 2 nations.

Reviewing progress on CSP roadmap

The fourth ISMR will evaluation the progress made because the third roundtable held in New Delhi in August 2025.

The assembly will even discover new areas to hurry up the implementation of the Complete Strategic Partnership Roadmap, in response to a joint assertion by Singapore’s Ministry of Overseas Affairs and Ministry of Commerce and Trade.

Singapore leads India’s FDI sources

The discussions come as financial ties between India and Singapore proceed to increase. Singapore was India’s largest supply of overseas direct funding (FDI) in FY2025-26, accounting for USD 19.8 billion in inflows, in response to the Commerce Ministry.

Cumulative FDI from Singapore stood at USD 194.68 billion between April 2000 and March 2026.

Bilateral commerce has additionally elevated considerably through the years. In line with the Commerce Ministry, commerce between India and Singapore rose from USD 6.7 billion in FY2004-05 to USD 36.1 billion in FY2025-26.

The fourth India-Singapore Enterprise Roundtable can be aimed toward strengthening engagement between companies from the 2 nations, alongside the government-level discussions on commerce, funding and financial cooperation.
